Social Media for Teenager

Is it good or bad? 

Social media seems to have become an addiction for all people, especially teenagers. Today’s teenagers are synonymous with smartphones in their hands almost 24 hours. The social media most often used by teenagers are Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram, Line, Snapchat and others. Social media offers a lot of conveniences that make beta teens linger in using it. 

There's so many things we can do with social media, we can express ourself in media for example some teenager using story feature on Instagram to show what are we doing by taking some pictures or videos. And also we can watch some video that interesting ( some content made by creator content). What video that also shared on our social media page? Some news, tips, or learning some subjects like language, math, and other else. And also we can connect and comunicate with  people around the world. So many things than we get from social media.

In other hand, there’s also have a negative ways using a social media. Social media can lead to bullying, or despicable actions. Like giving negative comments to people who can make the victim stress. Then you can share hoax videos without digging deeper into the information. Thats things that we should avoid it ok!

And here’s how to wisely use social media that we need to know as teenagers. First, don't just post content. Be aware that social media accounts can be seen publicly, including all posts in it. Therefore, we must be wiser in choosing content before uploading it on social media. We also don't need details to include information. In an increasingly sophisticated digital era, cyber crimes are increasingly sophisticated. In social media accounts, never include detailed personal information because we never know what threats are lurking. So, we have to protect our privacy!

To use social media properly, we must also maintain ethics. Always maintain ethics, manners, and always be respectful to friends or people connected to our social media accounts. Avoid using harsh words. Respect others as we want to be respected. Then, always be alert and don't immediately believe the information on social media. Must be able to filter the scattered information. Also beware of unknown users who suddenly send messages. Follow useful, entertaining, or credible accounts that can actually add to your insight. Stay away from accounts that are toxic and don't have any use.
